What We Do: Within three business days Josh Turansky (or a teammate) hosts a 15-minute call to:

  • Share FAC's mission & cost-share model
  • Confirm parking, cold storage, and volunteer flow
  • Answer your questions

What You Do: Have your logistics lead on the line. If everything checks out, you're approved on the spot and entered into our routing system.

First 30 Days — Tool Kit & First Food

After approval you'll receive a Welcome Email with:

  • Quick-Start PDF — best practices for receiving, storing, and distributing food.
  • Cost-Share Explainer — how and when invoices arrive.
  • ServSafe Link — free/low-cost online food-safety training (strongly encouraged).

Two Systems for Getting Food

Warehouse Pickups (Non-Perishable Items)

After completing the Interest Form, you can book your own pickup time using our online calendar.

Book a Pickup Time
  • Contents of pallet(s) will vary. A cost share of $50 per pallet applies.
  • Special appointments and specific content requests can be made by texting 443-401-7009.
  • If your organization serves prepared food, text 443-401-7009 — commercial-sized items like #10 cans and bulk items may be available.

Truck Deliveries (Produce & Perishable Foods)

Text Pastor Josh at 951-813-9451 to get on the delivery list.

  • Availability varies daily based on donations received — cannot be scheduled far in advance.
  • Requirements: ability to receive food spontaneously, refrigeration capacity, and a paved surface for pallet delivery.
  • Text-based system allows Pastor Josh to route food efficiently to available sites.

Life as a POD — Rhythm & Support

Each Delivery / Pick-Up

  • Our team unloads and records the delivery details on a slip of paper for our records.

Invoicing (Cost Share)

Invoices are our cost-sharing method. They go out after each pickup or delivery, and payment is due within 10 business days. Paying on time supports our ongoing mission and sustains the coalition's operations.

Ongoing

Tell us what's working, any shortages, holiday closures, or volunteer gaps.

2–3× Year

  • Hands-on trainings (food-safety refreshers, volunteer management)
  • City-wide meet-ups to share stories, pray, and strengthen partnerships

Annually

  • Celebration & vision event for all of our partner sites
  • Quick re-certification (updated contacts & insurance)
